If you had to define the essence of aespa in one word, what would that one word be?

WINTER: I would choose ‘metaverse.’ We are the first group with a Metaversal Origin Story, and we tried to make this concept approachable and fun by showcasing it through our music. I think the Metaversal Origin Story is one of our unique charms!

Silly, but we have to ask, are you a winter or a summer person?

Since I get cold easily, I prefer summer to winter! Also, I enjoy eating cold, summer food rather than hot, warm food! Nonetheless, I love my stage name, WINTER!

 

At what age did you start singing? And did you always consider it something you could pursue as a career?

I officially learned to sing when I started training at SM, but ever since I was young, I loved to sing and dance, so I’ve always wanted to have a career related to music.

 

What is your favorite perk of being involved in aespa?

We all grew up in different environments, but I am thankful that we all get along so well and have an amazing synergy as a group. I’m happy to do what I love and work towards my dreams with such wonderful members!

약간 엉뚱한 질문인데요, 당신은 겨울 사람인가요 아니면 여름 사람인가요?

제가 추위를 잘 타서 겨울보다 여름을 더 좋아해요! 또한 뜨겁고 따뜻한 음식보다는 차가운 여름 음식을 즐겨 먹어요! 그래도 제 예명인 'WINTER’는 좋아해요!

 

몇 살 때부터 노래를 시작했나요? 어릴 때부터 음악을 직업으로 삼을 생각이 있었나요?

SM에서 연습생 생활을 시작하면서 본격적으로 노래를 배웠지만, 어렸을 때부터 노래와 춤을 좋아해서 항상 음악과 관련된 직업을 갖고 싶었어요.

 

aespa 활동을 하며 가장 좋은 점은 무엇인가요?

우리가 모두 다른 환경에서 자랐지만, 모두가 잘 지내고 놀라운 시너지를 낼 수 있다는 게 감사해요. 이렇게 멋진 멤버들과 함께 제가 사랑하는 일을 하고 꿈을 향해 나아갈 수 있어 기뻐요!
